Metz Air Control Supports Breast Cancer Awareness With Support Sisterz
Some companies write a check and call it community involvement. Metz Air Control goes further. This October, the third-generation, family-owned plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company out of Chino, CA, is wrapping its service truck in pink and putting real money behind a cause close to home: Support Sisterz, a Corona-based nonprofit built by breast cancer survivors to financially and emotionally support women battling breast and gynecological cancers across the Inland Empire.
How Metz Air Control Is Giving Back This October
For every full system HVAC installation completed with a flyer during October, Metz Air Control will donate $500 to Support Sisterz. For every water heater installation with flyer, Metz Air Control will donate $200. That means when Inland Empire homeowners invest in their home comfort this month, a portion of that investment goes directly to women in their community who are navigating cancer treatment, medical bills and the daily financial strain a diagnosis brings. It’s a simple equation: you get a system installed by a team you trust, and a neighbor in need gets real help.
About Support Sisterz: Community, Hope and Strength
Support Sisterz started as a group of friends fighting the same battle, leaning on each other through treatment. That small circle of support grew into a fully registered 501(c)3 nonprofit serving women who live or work in Corona, Norco, Eastvale and surrounding communities.
Today, the organization runs three core programs: a monthly Sisterz Sit Down support group that gives women in active treatment and remission a safe space to connect and share; a Financial Assistance Program that provides monetary grants to cover medical bills, rent, insurance premiums and basic necessities during treatment; and the annual Combat Cancer Walk, held every third Saturday in October, which raises funds to sustain both programs. This year marks the 10th Annual Combat Cancer Walk. It’s a milestone that speaks to how deeply rooted Support Sisterz has become in the Inland Empire community.
